thankful thursday
This week I am thankful for:
* good friends
* a great view of her beloved cougar at the zoo for my Crater Cougar
* the remarkable complexity of creation -- I mean, California condors? Really?
* fresh fruits and vegetables
* the opportunity to serve in so many different circumstances
* the kid's joy in her new desk -- and being able to provide that for her
* time spent with family, and especially with my 98-year-old grandmother!
* connection
* witnessing snuggle time between the kid and her kitty... he was so relaxed this morning his ears were halfway down his head. Also, cats definitely smile.

Yay! We went to the zoo last Sunday morning and had a great visit. No Cougars because we were avoiding a keeper talk and the large throng gathered around, but the Condors are awesome, aren't they? We got the see the lonely tiger wandering his exhibit and coming right up to the front. And the Caracal just napping right up by the window! She has come out of hiding finally!
