thankful thursday

This week I am thankful for:

* animal hotels (constructed with the inspiration of a book called Cactus Hotel)
* the first yellow crocuses in our garden!
* exciting new plant orders for the formerly scraggly strip in front of our house
* the hummingbirds who were either fighting or mating (?) outside my office window this morning
* honest conversations
* the soup and cheesy bread special at Coffee Cottage on Monday... it was amazing
* Shrove Tuesday pancakes and, more importantly, the people who made them and ate them
* the beautiful Valentine's Day card the kid made for her father and I in school
* the kid's recovery from illness
* being included
