thankful thursday

This week I am thankful for:

* My African violet!  Not only did I not kill it (it's about a year old now), but it's blooming!
* good examples
* lots of progress on writing projects
* Sunderland AFC's Premier League safety -- no relegation!
* the Blazers making it into the second round of the playoffs
* the Timbers finally winning
* funny, insightful comments from the kid
* her continuing enthusiasm for imaginative play
* the opportunity to see some really great students graduate
