thankful thursday

I have plans for more here soon (quite a bit more, actually)... meanwhile, the closing days of the term have me pressed for time and energy.  In the midst of the business, though, it's good to take time for thanksgiving:

* the kid's delightful excitement over losing a tooth at school

* feline ingenuity (he's taking a drink, not eating a bird... fortunately, his bird-related activities are limited to watching with a hurt and somewhat offended look on his face as blue jays steal kibble from his bowl)

* a fun Vernonia Half Marathon on Sunday

* good conversations

* exciting plans

* light at the end of the tunnel that, as a friend put it well, looks like actual sunlight and not the headlight of an oncoming train ;-)

* "Land Girls" on DVD

* paperclips
