nativity

We've gradually started decorating the house for Christmas these past few days, and yesterday afternoon I pulled out one of our nativity scenes.  The kid arranged the figures, and as usual, it isn't an environment geared toward those who require personal space:

I love her enthusiasm.  Everybody needs to be able to see the baby Jesus!  In her gusto for cozy nativity arrangements she gets at the heart of something very important... proximity.  How often (figuratively speaking) am I drawing up close to experience Jesus?  A good thought to keep in mind this Advent season.
