thankful thursday

This week I am thankful for:

* the new school year (though I can't believe it's already here!)
* potential opportunities
* good friends
* Portland
* the amusement value of the backyard squirrels, who have now started "harvesting" the sunflowers they planted last spring... saw one systematically dismantling a wilted flower the other day.  Debris field all over the patio.
* finishing the week's long training run.  Long runs are far more enjoyable once they are finished. :-)
* tortellini.  Especially leftover tortellini found in the fridge following aforementioned long run.
* tea, and the fact that it isn't a bazillion degrees out so I can enjoy some
* changes in the light that signal fall is coming...
