thankful thursday

This week my list of things to be thankful for includes:

* again, surviving -- and enjoying -- our overnight snowshoeing trip of last weekend (and discovering I like snowshoeing, even if I will never be a backpacking enthusiast!)

* great friends with which to undertake these adventures
* other great friends who pick up the kid from school and make her finish her lunch, to boot
* sunshine this afternoon!
* optimism
* respect
* modern appliances
* Ash Wednesday
* friendly gestures
* treadmills
* cheese
