thankful thursday

This week I am thankful for:

* a delightful trip to the zoo with Mom, Dad and the kiddo
* mongeese (I believe I need one.)
* surprises
* impending camping trips to pretty locations with nice people
* unexpected opportunities to work with students
* three amusing cat sightings on my morning run (one just stared at me, one looked annoyed as it was crouched behind a dirt pile and my passage startled the birds it had been stalking, and one big orange one clearly goaded an unfortunate golden retriever into lunging after him and then watched in the bushes while said dog was reprimanded by its owner -- hilarious)
* blackberries -- as fruit, not as invasive species
* blooming Queen Anne's Lace
* Henry Mancini
