Well worth doing the hard thinking about how we live out Christ's testimony within our church community as well as in the wider world. We can be proud of our history and traditions without creating culturally-imposed boundaries -- and in fact, we should celebrate diverse expressions of Lutheran faith. After all, if I believe Lutheran theology speaks compelling truth about God, then shouldn't I want to ensure everyone feels welcome at the table?
