thankful thursday
Happy birthday, Martin Luther! This week I am thankful for, among other things:
* EXCELLENT parent-teacher conferences... good job, kiddo!
* the gorgeous tree outside my office window
* projects re-started that had been suffering under self-imposed mental blocks
* the power of background music in breaking aforementioned mental blocks (turns out Bon Iver is really helpful while writing papers on '60s anticommunist figures -- who knew?)
* others' blogs (after all, I learned about Bon Iver on this one)
* book contracts!!!!!
* Annie's saltine crackers
* the benefits of having a kid who trick-or-treated and yet refuses to eat Reese's Peanut Butter Cups
* the 5-year-old's enthusiasm for scrapbooking
