thankful thursday

This week I am thankful for:

* close encounters with the local hot-air balloon company!

* a great day with friends on a beautiful farm

* a completed course reader (and dedicated print services staffer)

* the opportunity to attend Faculty Fall Conference

* the imminent start of a new academic year

* the 6-year-old's observations (my favorite this week, while driving, when she saw a large flock of birds off in the distance: "It looks like God is sprinkling pepper over there!")

* fresh corn on the cob
