thankful thursday

This week I am thankful for:

* the kid's week at day camp, where she is enjoying herself and which is giving me several blessed hours each day to work on my fall courses
* a drive to and from day camp that involves views like this:

(and that's just where I was able to stop the car for a moment), horses, a few sheep and mental directions that include items like "hang a left at the blue house with the lovely flowers planted in the old toilet"...)
* progress
* a sale on my favorite shoes!
* the fact that I haven't wound up in the bushes going down the scary exit road from the day camp (yet)
* fresh produce
* the BBQ grill
* fun lunch with a friend
* things to look forward to
