a Lutheran moment

I was just looking through some old photos the pastor gave me -- I'm finishing up the slide show for our church's 30th anniversary celebration next week.  They're photos of a congregational picnic and barbecue at the rural home of some longtime members.  Happy, smiling people are enjoying hot dogs and melon... my oldest former youth group kids are ridiculously cute small children... and suddenly it dawned on me that there is something very incongruous (and very Lutheran) about these photos.  The perfect beverage for a backyard barbecue, Lutheran-style, appears to be...
