thankful thursday

This week I am thankful for:

* the beauty of the Pacific Northwest

* a great hike with our enthusiastic small hiker (who bounced up a much muddier and steeper trail than the one pictured here to Upper Latourell Falls, too!  this is Lower Latourell Falls in the Columbia River Gorge... top picture is looking toward Crown Point)

* good friends

* homemade hamburger buns

* a rather Camelot-esque weather pattern the past few days that's meant rain for the garden but dry conditions in the afternoon so the kid can play outside

* fun novels

* incremental progress

* a successful shorts-sewing venture
