above the deep and dreamless sleep

"O Little Town of Bethlehem" always leaves me with a sense of peace.  God is at work.  Even when everything is still -- when our selves are in their very deepest state of rest, consciousness fully suspended -- God is at work.  The Everlasting Light is wandering.  Like the drip drip drip of Narnia when Aslan is on the move, Something is coming.
